Meet the Animals

Green River has a wide variety of animals!

Cats, dogs, ducks, chickens (meat & layers) guineas, nubian goats, whitetail deer, minature horse, a quarter horse and calves. Some have names, like kitty and buddy, and others do not, like the calves that will be
a T-bone.  All the animals have a job, well, almost all except for the two horses. They are for pleasure only.
The easiest animals to care for are the guineas and the ducks. They take care of themselves. But they are also the hardest to get up when its time to gather them for the auction. It takes days to train them to go into the dog kennels after the corn. Then its easy as pie to get then into a cage.
The guineas eat the bugs and ticks in the yard and the ducks control the minnow population in the
farm pond.

Swimming on a cold morning, only the ducks care to.

The guineas raise their young.
